Event Information
What are the best Halloween parties in NYC 2025?
There are tons of Halloween parties happening across 2 weekends in NYC – the weekend before and the weekend of Halloween. There are no “best” parties per se, just the best parties that resonate with you. That’s why on most nights we offer a mix of curated events across nightclubs, rooftops, bars, and lounges. Whether you’re looking for intimate costume parties, massive nightclub events, or upscale rooftop experiences, NYC Halloween parties cater to every vibe and budget.
When do NYC Halloween parties typically take place?
NYC Halloween parties run from October 25-31st and sometimes the weekend after, with peak nights on October 30-31 (Halloween weekend). Most parties start around 9:00 PM and run until 3:00-4:00 AM depending on the location. Make sure to check the event details or ticket confirmation for exact start and end times. Also be careful when purchasing – some venues host multiple nights of celebrations, so double-check your date!
How much do Halloween party tickets cost in NYC?
Ticket prices range from $15+ for general admission, depending on the venue and date. Discounted early bird or tier 1 tickets are offered, but on average general entry is around $20-$50. VIP packages with table service range from $400 and up depending on your group size. Premium Manhattan venues typically cost more than Brooklyn or Queens locations.
Ticketing & Reservations
How do I buy Halloween party tickets?
You can purchase tickets directly through our website at NYCHalloweenParties.com. We accept all major credit cards and offer secure payment processing. Group discounts are available for 6+ people. Our concierge team can also help you find the best deals and recommend events that match your group’s vibe.
Can I get refunds on Halloween party tickets?
Tickets are generally non-refundable but transferable to another person. In case of event cancellation due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, full refunds will be issued within 5-7 business days. We recommend checking the weather forecast and having backup plans during late October in NYC.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes! Groups of 6+ people will receive either a group discount or complimentary admission bundled in depending on the event. Please note this does not apply to all events. Ask one of our concierges which events offer group savings or where additional savings can be unlocked. Birthday party packages are also available for groups celebrating Halloween birthdays.
Venue & Location Information
Where are the Halloween parties located?
Our parties take place at premium venues across NYC:
- Manhattan: Union Square, Midtown, Lower East Side, Meatpacking District, Chelsea
- Brooklyn: Williamsburg, DUMBO, Park Slope
- Queens: Long Island City, Astoria
All venues are easily accessible by subway and have nearby parking options. Please check Google Maps in advance for the most current transportation and parking information. We recommend using ride-share services for late-night transportation safety.
What’s the dress code for Halloween parties?
Most venues encourage Halloween costumes but require upscale casual as a minimum. Avoid: flip-flops, athletic wear, overly revealing outfits, or anything that could be considered offensive. When in doubt, think “nightclub ready” – you can always add costume accessories to elevate your look. Some venues have stricter dress codes, so check your event details.
Are the venues accessible?
Most of our partner venues are ADA compliant with accessible entrances, restrooms, and elevator access to multiple floors where applicable. Please check with our concierge team for any accessibility needs in advance to ensure we can accommodate your requirements properly.
Age & Entry Requirements
What’s the age requirement?
All events are usually 21+ only. Valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry – no exceptions. Sometimes we will have events for the college crowd marked 18+ to enter, but these are clearly indicated on the event page. Doormen in NYC are strict about ID checking, especially during Halloween when fake IDs are more common.
What ID do I need to bring?
Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Driver’s license (any US state)
- State-issued ID card
- Valid US passport
- Military ID
- Foreign passport with visa stamp
Expired IDs, photos of IDs, or photocopies are NOT accepted. International visitors should bring their passport. We recommend keeping your ID easily accessible to avoid delays at entry.
VIP & Bottle Service
What’s included with VIP packages?
VIP packages typically include:
- Reserved table seating for your group
- Premium bottle service (vodka, tequila, or champagne options)
- Mixers and garnishes
- Priority entry (skip general admission lines)
- Dedicated server for your table
- Sometimes complimentary coat check
- Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean.
How many people fit at a VIP table?
The PC answer: Standard VIP tables accommodate 4-6 people comfortably. Large tables for 8-10 people are available at select venues for an additional cost.
The real deal: It’s nightclub-style seating, meaning not everyone is expected to sit down at once. The main perk is having the table with bottle service for the flex and a home base for your group throughout the night.
Can I request a specific table location?
Table assignments are made based on availability and group size. While we can’t guarantee specific table locations, our team will do our best to accommodate special requests (birthdays, proposals, etc.) when you book in advance. VIP tables generally have good sightlines to the DJ booth and dance floor.
Party Planning & Tips
What should I expect at a NYC Halloween party?
Expect mild to extravagant decorations depending on the venue, professional DJ performances, photo opportunities, and a diverse crowd of 200-800+ people depending on the venue. NYC Halloween parties attract everyone from Wall Street professionals to artists to international visitors. The energy is typically high, music ranges from hip-hop to house to Top 40, and costume creativity is impressive.
How early should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes before your event’s stated start time for the most seamless experience. Lines are typically shortest before 10 PM, and you’ll have time to explore the venue before peak crowd hours (11 PM – 1 AM). If you have VIP, you can arrive later since you skip general admission lines.
Can I leave and re-enter the party?
Re-entry policies vary by venue. Most locations allow re-entry until midnight with a hand stamp, but this isn’t guaranteed. We recommend staying for the full experience since NYC Halloween parties build energy throughout the night, peaking around midnight to 1 AM.
What are the best costume ideas for NYC Halloween parties?
Popular costume themes include: pop culture references, classic horror characters, creative couples costumes, and group themes. Avoid overly bulky costumes in crowded venues. Consider the venue vibe – upscale lounges call for sophisticated costumes while warehouse parties allow for more creative freedom.
How do I get home safely after the party?
Plan your exit strategy in advance. Uber/Lyft surge pricing is common during Halloween weekend. Consider: booking a ride early, using public transportation (check weekend schedules), designated drivers, or staying at nearby hotels. Never walk alone late at night, especially in costume.
